And the Pink One Turns Four!

Someone once told me that the years go by fast, but the days are long. And yes some days raising children seem like they will never end, but Tess is such a happy, good-natured little girl, that the days often go by quickly too. And here we sit this morning looking at our baby that joined our family at a whopping 8lb 6oz on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2006, now four years old.

Tess was quickly dubbed "The Pink One" balancing out our little family with her brother Morgan that loved her right from the start.

She was an easy baby, slept well, didn't cry often and was all smiles sitting on my hip in her carrier.

Over the years she definitely got into her fair amount of trouble and she could definitely be called mischevious or impish. There was the yoghurt incident.

And the famous Vaseline morning.

One of her favourite spots has always been atop Daddy's shoulders.

As she's got older her wisdom and easy ability to learn shone. I knew watching her play that she needed more than I could offer her at school, so off to preschool she went before her third birthday. She was writing her name then and has quickly learned how to write Morgan, Mommy, Daddy and more words. She knows all of her letters by sight and is now asking how to spell other words.

She loves riding her bike (well her brother's hand-me-down bike) and her scooter. She's great in the water and love to climb trees. And soon she'll add ballet to her list of activities (after asking for lessons for over a year).

I actually wondered when Tess was a baby if she was really cute. Or was it just mother's love that made me think she was. But I have no doubt now at how beautiful she is...both inside and out.

Tess you are the love of my life, the sunshine on my raining days and we love you to the moon and back.
