And yet another birthday party ...

Morgan's party pics never made it here either from last month, so I thought I better share those too. Morgan asked for a dinosaur themed party... and it came together beautifully. It was a very rainy day, so we were limited to inside games and such. I had really hoped to bury bones in the sandbox for an archeological dig...it didn't happen, but we had tons of fun anyway. I served dinosaur shaped chicken nuggests, lava bites (bagel bites), veggies for the herbivore dinosaurs, and fossil crisps (chips). The goodie bags were filled with dinosaur tattoos, stickers, mini dinosaurs, dinosaur shaped candies, and dinosaur colouring pages.

I found these great mini fossil explorer kits at The Daiso. A couple of days before the party, Morgan and I made all the kids a fossil rock with a fossil in it that they had to dig out. It was messy and dusty as they scraped the rock away, but the kids loved it! They all took home their fossil, the mini tools, and a little book that talks about the different fossils.

The traditional stick the Pteradactyl to the Picture game.

We played some Dinosaur Freeze Stomp.

Then there was the T-Rex Says game (down to the final two).

And some Hot Meteor passing (like hot potato).

And Morgan asked for cupcakes so I made these quick and easy things.

He loved it! He's already talking about his next party...at home of course.
