Palm Beach in Lang Bay

We were lucky enough to get to go "camping" for the May Long weekend. And I have to say although I love tent camping, camping in a motorhome with a stove, fridge, heat and hot water is way more up my alley with kids. Especially the view we had.

This is Palm Beach in Lang Bay on the Sunshine Coast, where my folks have parked their 30 foot motorhome for the summer. They have a perfect spot right by the beach, so the kids can be on the beach and we can either sit inside where it's warm on these colder spring days and still see them beachcombing, or we can sit on the beach and enjoy the sun and view only a few steps from our next cold beer.

The kids had tons of fun climbing on the rocks.

Playing on the beach in the winds:

Exploring the tidal pools.

Playing on one of nature's teeter totters.

And Morgan got to fish in Powell Lake when we took the boat out for the afternoon.

And the sea creatures we found.

A sea cucumber (we think):

A sea urchin:
Starfishes (in green and purple):

And the birds... the eagle flew over every day, twice a day and a heron too.

I can only imagine how wonderful it will be in the summer when the sun is hot and the water refreshing!

Looks beautiful and relaxing! Sounds like my kind of camping too! Hot water and stoves beat out a tent in my books!
