The kids were away all weekend, (thanks Mom and G) and although Doug and I had a few committments this weekend, like a ball game and a birthday party (happy 1st birthday Kylie), we did make time Saturday night for some time together. We went out for a dinner at a pub and then decided to pick up a movie to watch. Well, I realized we hadn't been in a video store together in YEARS! We decided on watching The Hurt Locker and I have to say although it was a hard movie to watch in so many ways, it is superbly done. I commented during the movie that I wasn't sure I wanted to know so much about war and my adrenaline was pumping so much that I actually got cold, like teeth chattering cold, at one point.
Doug and I realized though that we are so behind on movie watching, like the movies we want to see are already moving over to the "old" shelves in the store. So my question is what movies are must see movies. Please share your fav movies from the past few years, I want to put together a list so it's easier to chose next time we're at the store.

Me and Graham have such different movie styles. I ONLY like funny movies. Life is sad enough I dont want to spend my 2 hours of escaping reality to get bummed. So I usually pick comedies/romantic comedies. I have yet to see, Bruno, Julie and Julia, youth in revolt, she's out of my league, Date night, now with a PVR I can tape those when they come on Movie channel and watch them when Graham is not home! (he can do the same for his movies) but I am pretty good at convincing him to side with my movies so we can watch together
Erica, I have so many I still want to see too but here are some I recently watched that I recommend. Avatar, It's Complicated, The Ugly Truth, The Lovely Bones, Perfect Getaway, Bride Wars, My Sister's Keeper, Crazy Heart, The Blind Side, Up in the Air, Precious....I'll let you know if I think of more LOL
