the mouse will play. And in this case, I was the mouse while my kids were away with LouLou and Grandpa on the Sunshine Coast on the weekend. I did a bit of scrapping Friday night...okay a LOT of scrapping Friday night. Then got the kids off bright and early Saturday morning. Scrapped a bit on Saturday, between gettig a ton of other things accomplished, plus a long nap in there, and then spend most of Sunday scrapping again. ScrapShotz had the Family Game Night on-line Crop and if you didn't have a chance to play along, you can still go and check out the challenges because they were incredibly inspiring and there is tons to see and do over there. I wanted to share what I managed to get done over the weekend. Each challenge was inspired by a family game, like Monopoly, Rummoli, etc. Either based on colours, pieces, game shapes, or what have you.
I'll start with my Go Fish card challenge ... as a current member of the card crew, I got to post my own challenge and I chose to do a fishy/water themed card:
One of my fav things at ScrapShotz on-line crops is there is always a charity challenge and this time it was a game of tag. For every layout created in the tag (each person can do ONE), Sandy will donate $5 to the Ronald McDonald House Charity (the charity of the crop). I came up with this in my hour of allotted time:
Othello Challenge (has to have green, bonus if it has grids and/or circles):
Rummoli Card Challenge (use red, blank white and the shapes from the board):
Pictionary Challenge (do a layout, then make a sketch for it):
Cranium Card Challenge (be inspired by the box):
Headbanz Make and Take (making felt flowers..super duper easy):
Candyland Project Challenge (anything "sweet", but not a layout):
Scrabble Tile Challenge (use letter tiles):
Tripoley Challenge (things in 3):
Twister Challenge (lots of circles):
I got so much done and I love all of my projects. The ScrapShotz on-line crops are not to be missed. Now just keep your fingers crossed that I win the Grand Prize (you are entered to win if you complete the Charity Challenge, as well as 6 other challenges).
